This is easily the smartest show on TV right now. But there are still unanswered questions, but we have 5 more episodes to go. Sometimes all it takes is a tiny bit of context knowing what one line, or even sometimes what one single word is really referring to. Some of it can be really confusing if you missed one minor hint. This show is so invested in the small details, easter eggs, and putting these small clues together yourself instead of just flat out telling you.

I did catch on hints from as far back as the finale of season 1 that he was going to go to prison, but mostly throughout this season. I have a few theories, but there is one theory that I think is more plausible than the others. So when did Elliot get locked up? Did the shit with Ray not really happen, and if not, how did Elliot communicate with Darlene to hack the FBI? This season is all kinds of wacky.
